when naughty children sleep

like squirrels?

they sleep

soft,

love punctuates the quilt that tucks,

dreams soft on their faces,

their smells comfort.

their Tantrums

paper tissues in the wind.

  1. had to think about this one a bit, read it a few times, nice

esp liked the last four lines :

    ***

    dreams soft on their faces,

    their smells comfort.

    their Tantrums

    paper tissues in the wind

    ***

the larger line breaks create nice pauses too 😉

  2. the paste didn’t show your line breaks ‘tween the first two and second two lines, but you’ll know what i meant 😉 thanks neel

  3. The “Tissues in the wind,” line is so perfect, so visual. If it could come into the minds of harried parents during those tantrums, it would give the patience to survive, perhaps even smile.
