Everyone’s worried nowadays about the extent of freedom. How much of the internet, how much of the written word, how much of protest violent or Gandhian? It’s the way mothers regulate their children at every turn- half an hour of television, one hour of homework, one hour of piano practice. The question is what happens to those mothers when they wizen up?

Books have always been burnt and creative artists always banished….this is nothing new.

Strange how agni*

Likes to lick, cajole, suffocate

With such intensity:

Words,  letters, spine

You  police us, but fire

You are enamoured!

You burn.
